About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Chief People Officer (CPO) to join our executive leadership team. This role is responsible for shaping and delivering a forward-thinking people strategy that supports business growth, enhances organisational culture, and drives employee engagement.
The CPO will act as a trusted advisor to the CEO and Board, ensuring that our people agenda aligns with our long-term objectives while fostering a high-performance, inclusive, and values-driven workplace.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a comprehensive people and culture strategy aligned with business goals
- Advise the CEO and Board on organisational design, workforce planning, and talent strategy
- Lead all aspects of HR, including talent acquisition, learning & development, performance management, and employee relations
- Drive initiatives to enhance employee engagement, wellbeing, and retention
- Champion diversity, equity, and inclusion (DE&I) across the organisation
- Oversee leadership development and succession planning frameworks
- Ensure compliance with employment law and HR best practices
- Lead organisational change and transformation programmes
- Build and lead a high-performing People/HR function
Key Requirements
- Proven experience in a senior HR leadership role (CPO, HR Director, or equivalent)
- Strong track record of developing and implementing people strategies in complex organisations
- Experience working closely with executive teams and Boards
- Deep knowledge of HR best practices, employment law, and organisational development
- Demonstrated success in driving cultural change and employee engagement
- Strong leadership, communication, and influencing skills
- Relevant qualifications (e.g. CIPD qualification or equivalent)
